TextPlus not opening

I'm using version 5.2.0.12 of TextPlus on my Droid Razr. Every so often (about once every two or three days) TextPlus will not open. When I tap the icon, it looks like it's about to open but nothing happens. The entire phone freezes up and I can't do anything until I press the home button. This keeps happening until I shut the phone down and restart it.

I thought it could be another app doing it. My wife just happened to get a Droid 4 two days ago and I installed TextPlus on her brand new phone. No other apps except what came with the phone were installed. That night it did the same thing to her. We had to reboot her phone to fix the issue.

Is this related to motorola phone? Or Android 2.3.6 operating system? Or is it the TextPlus program doing it?

Sorry you're experiencing problems with the app. We've released s new version to the Android Market which hopefully has addressed these issues.

Before updating, first try to clear the data/cache for the app (in Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->textPlus) then proceed with downloading the new version (5.3.0.27).

Let us know if that works for you.

If you have a jail broken device, try restarting the spring board. Many times when the device is jail broken it can affect your iOS and more specifically the spring board.

I have the same problem on textplus only my problem is on an iphone 4 jail broken with redsnow. What do I do?
