If you're unable to obtain a textPlus number, our fraud detection system has likely blocked the request from your current device or network.
Why does this happen?
Per our Acceptable Use Policy, textPlus uses an automated fraud detection system to prevent abuse of our service. Number requests are blocked based on:
- Device characteristics matching known fraud patterns
- Network/IP address history associated with fraudulent activity
- Usage patterns indicating potential abuse
This is an automated security measure designed to protect our service and legitimate users.
What you can actually try
Option 1: Use a completely different device
- Borrow a friend's phone or a family member's tablet
- Request a number from that device
- Note: Simply reinstalling on your current device will NOT work
Option 2: Use a different network entirely
- Try from a different physical location with a different WiFi
- Use a different mobile carrier if possible
- Note: Just switching between WiFi and data on the same network will NOT work
Option 3: Wait 7-14 days
- Wait at least one week before trying again from the same device/network
Important to know
⚠️ This is an automated decision. Support agents cannot manually override the fraud detection system.
⚠️ Creating multiple accounts or tickets will not help. This may result in all accounts being permanently blocked.
⚠️ The decision is final. Per our Terms of Service, we reserve the right to deny service to any user.
